課程概述 |
民族誌方法一直被視為人類學的看家本領,然而這種「以身為度」的田野工作以及自然歷史為典範的書寫形式在1990年代以後就遭到來自新民族誌與各種後現代主義影響學說的批評。現代主義式的寫實民族誌不再是人類學當前的主導性形式. 其他的類型,像:合作性的研究、多點式的調查、對話性民族誌、實䮴性的書寫都已經成為當代民族誌常見的研究方式.
本課程要回顧這段人類學理論與方法論上的發展,並評估數種新崛起的重要民族誌研究分析方法的優點與限制在哪裡?特別是在面對當代這種高度流動與商品化的全球文化,我們的研究方法必須要做哪些調整與創新,才能掌握與詮釋不斷變動的文化現象. |

訓練博士班學生如何將人類學理論與研究方法結合在一起.透過對文本分析能力的加強與民族誌方法論與書寫方式的檢討,探索在當代社會從事田野調查可能遭遇的困難與可以採取的新策略與新形式 |

課程要求 |
這是一門以閱讀討論為主的專題課，修課同學需要閱讀當週的材料，前兩堂由同學輪流摘要報告，並帶領課堂討論。第三堂由我講課並總結。
每堂課上課前，請先繳交閱讀材料之摘要2-3頁。摘要後，歡迎同學以他有興趣的領域或區域的材料為基礎，提供比較或批評的意見。
期末請繳交期末報告一篇，題目可以是理論整理，個案分析或比較。必須在15頁以上(不包含書目)。請在第13週或之前，與我先討論報告題目。我不接受沒有事先確認可行的期末報告。 |
